I have worked with children and families for over 20 years. My practice currently specializes in helping couples, women, and families to manage and overcome the challenges of interpersonal relationship issues. Separation and divorce are often experienced as an overwhelming loss to the entire family. How your children adjust to the divorce and/or separation is directly related to how you as the parents are adjusting. It is very important to remember through out divorce or separation that your child's well-being should be your number one priority. The best interest of your child/children should be kept at the forefront of all decision making. It is your job as parents to pick up on the clues that your child gives you, and to do whatever you can to ease the emotional trauma that is caused by this life-changing experience.
